For decades, Ontarians have been offered a false choice at Queen's Park. Whether the jersey colour is blue, red, or orange, the results are the same: bigger government, higher taxes, skyrocketing debt, and the steady erosion of your individual rights.
Perhaps most frustratingly, there is zero accountability for their failures. When their policies make housing unaffordable or crush small businesses, they just ask for more of your money to "fix" the problems they created.
The other parties fight over how to manage your life. We believe you should manage your own life.
The Ontario Libertarian Party exists to break this cycle. We are the political home for everyone who believes that you know how to spend your money, raise your family, and run your business better than a bureaucrat in Toronto does.

Ontario does not suffer from a lack of revenue, it suffers from unchecked spending. Every dollar taken by Queen’s Park is a dollar removed from a household budget or a local business.
- Balanced Budgets: We treat taxpayer dollars with the same discipline Ontario families exercise every month, opposing chronic deficits that borrow against our children’s future.
- Targeted Tax Relief: Lowering personal and small-business taxes to put purchasing power back where it belongs: in your hands.
- Ending Corporate Subsidies: Ending taxpayer-funded handouts and bailouts to politically connected corporations. We believe in fair competition on a level playing field, not governments picking winners and losers.
Housing Choice and Secure Property Rights
Affordable housing and economic security start with respecting property rights and removing artificial barriers to building.
- Cutting Regulatory Bottlenecks: Modernizing restrictive municipal and provincial zoning laws that artificially restrict housing supply and drive up home prices for young families.
- Defending Private Ownership: Ensuring property owners are protected against arbitrary expropriation, unfair civil forfeitures, and bureaucratic overreach. Your home and land should remain under your control.
Personal Autonomy and Local Decision-Making
You understand your family’s needs, your career, and your local community far better than any central planner in Toronto.

We do not believe Queen’s Park needs to be torn down; it needs to be held accountable to the people who fund it. We stand for:

Our New Direction: Building for Permanence
Following the 2025 election, the Ontario Libertarian Party has entered a new phase. We are evolving from a protest movement into a professional, permanent political infrastructure across the province.
We are building riding associations that work year-round—not just during elections—to hold municipal and provincial leaders accountable for their actions. We are developing serious policy, training credible candidates, and building the data machinery required to win seats.
